These terms govern your use of the DoopleDeck mobile application. By downloading, installing, or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
DoopleDeck is a multiplayer card game app offering solo play against AI opponents and online play with other users. The app is developed by an independent developer based in the United Kingdom. It is free to download and use. There are currently no in-app purchases, subscriptions, or advertisements.
When you first open the app, an anonymous account is created automatically using Firebase Authentication. No email, password, or personal information is required. Your account is tied to your device. If you uninstall and reinstall the app, a new account is created and your previous data cannot be recovered.
You may choose a display name and avatar. You are responsible for the display name you choose. Names that are offensive, impersonate others, or violate any applicable law are not permitted and may result in your account being suspended or deleted.
You agree not to: attempt to exploit, hack, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app or its servers; use the app to harass, abuse, or harm other players; impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity; use automated tools, bots, or scripts to interact with the app (other than the in-app AI opponents provided); or attempt to manipulate leaderboards, achievements, or game outcomes through any means other than normal gameplay.
The app includes a virtual chip system used as an IOU tracker between friends. Chips have no real-world monetary value. They cannot be purchased, sold, exchanged, cashed out, or transferred outside the app. The chip system is a social feature only — it does not constitute gambling, wagering, or any form of real-money transaction.
You may upload a profile photo and set a display name. By uploading a photo, you confirm that you have the right to use that image and grant me a non-exclusive licence to store and display it within the app (in lobbies, at game tables, on leaderboards, and in friend lists). You can remove your photo at any time by changing your avatar or deleting your account.
The in-game chat feature uses pre-set phrases only. You cannot send custom text messages to other players.
All game design, artwork, code, sounds, and other creative elements of DoopleDeck are my property. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on any part of the app without written permission.
The card games themselves (Rummy, Chase the Ace, etc.) are traditional games in the public domain. The app's specific implementations, visual designs, and rule variations are original works.
The app is provided "as is" with no guarantee of uptime, availability, or uninterrupted service. I may update, modify, or discontinue any feature at any time. Online multiplayer requires an internet connection and depends on Firebase infrastructure, which is operated by Google and subject to their own availability.
I reserve the right to suspend or permanently delete any account that violates these terms, without prior notice. You may delete your own account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I am not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. This includes, without limitation, loss of data, loss of virtual items or progress, or inability to access the service. The app is a free entertainment product provided without warranty of any kind.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from your use of the app shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
I may update these terms at any time. The revised version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
